However I have some knowledge of worm composting. I took the Master Composting Program offered at the Queens Botanical Garden and I am a Master Composter certified by the City of New York :-) and I can assure you that worm composting will not attract pest or omit offensive odors if proper procedures are followed. The key is that you cannot mix any proteins or oils into your vegetable and fruit scraps. But you can recycle your morning paper and other paper products that have not been contaminated by proteins or oils. If you have any questions don't hesitate. <br />Good luck and happy composting to you in the new year. The idea of composting on a large scale for others is a great one.Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08810788367419537003noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1947997585334958395.post-42208012902460099562012-12-19T18:35:04.223-05:002012-12-19T18:35:04.223-05:00You moved... I haven't given up on compost though: I have a worm composter on my balcony. I don't keep it inside because London apartments are soooo cramped. As long as I keep the prawn shells to a minimum, it doesn't get smelly, but it does attract quite a bit of wildlife: maggots, wood lice. I heard that the critters are minimal indoors, but I wouldn`t be too sure about that...Dahlia ChanTanghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09761052647377223709noreply@blogger.com
