The Garden Part 2

We are so excited that the tomatoes have started sprouting in our newspaper pots. The newspaper when planted will biodegrade into the soil within 2-3 weeks. So the roots will just grow through it in no time!

We also read a cool article in Better Homes and Gardens where they planted seeds in eggshells. The eggshells will also turn into compost for the soil so it's such a great organic way to grow seedlings! Here we are growing radishes. So awesome!

Next week we are cutting the sod out of the garden and building a fence. More photos to come!

  1. Very creative ideas for seedlings. We use peat pots. We started our seedlings in late March, but put them outdoors in pots closer to Memorial Day. Anyway, I like your blog. It inspired me to update my layout!

  2. Y'all did a wonderful job making a garden and I love your fence..The Deer in our area would walk over it...and I want a farm...Then I could get a higher fence or wouldn't need one....Ginny
