Museum of Ancient Life

While we were in Utah, we visited The Museum of Ancient Life at the Thanksgiving Point Institute in the town of Lehi.  Thanksgiving Point Institute is a non-profit organization who's mission "is to inspire the minds and renew the spirits of young and old by providing unique learning experiences, family-friendly entertainment, and opportunities for discovery in a safe and beautiful environment."  The Institute was founded by one of the co-founders of WordPerfect.  Remember that software program??  The Museum of Ancient Life had quite a spectacular display of dinosaur fossils and bones, some of which were found right in Utah! This is a skeleton of a Triceratop.  It looks really amazing in person, this photo really doesn't do it justice at all.
Here is my nephew with a giant sea turtle!  Can you imagine seeing this in the ocean?  It's gigantic.  Wow!  This isn't a great photo of my nephew at all, he's blinking if you look closely.  However, it's hard to get a 3 year old to stand still, so this is the best I could get.  Haha.
I must say, this museum had the most incredible selection of dinosaur bones I've ever seen.  If you are ever in the Salt Lake area, definitely take a ride to Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah to check it out!
