I Love Tamarind Soda

At a recent seedchat on Twitter, mrbrownthumb talked about growing tamarind from seed. I was so curious of what tamarind fruit tasted like, I've never had it before. He recommended that I try the tamarind soda. So the hubs went to the asian market behind our house and picked up a bottle. It was delicious and refreshing. It reminded me of a cross between lemonade and soda. Sour and sweet. Yum.

  1. Ha! They should cut me an advertising check. I just realized I've never tried the Goya brand soda before, just the Jarritos branded one. If you come across that brand try it and see how they compare. Also, try the "fresh" versions they sell in restaurants, mostly Mexican, as it is (to me at leasts) very different than the bottled kind.

  3. My kids love that too! They don't get soda often, but I let them pick out a Goya when we are in the ethnic market!

  6. This post was suggested to me in another post... so I had to click it. Have you tried the tamarind popsicles yet? They are life changing! I've been obsessed since last summer!

    1. I haven't tried tamarind popsicles, but it sounds amazing! Do you make it yourself, or do you buy it? I was in Spain last year and they make just about any kind of popsicle possible. I just about died and gone to heaven. http://instagram.com/p/en-plSjnp4/
