We have woods adjacent to our property. In the woods and along the border we see a lot of wild flowers growing. This allium was growing right on the border, encroaching on our property line. It was so pretty that I had to clip it and bring it indoors. I took this photo last month, and completely forgotten about it.
Yesterday when my husband was outside near the garden, he found a mole running around the grass. He scooped it up and released him out into the woods. Pictures of the mole are on my other blog. http://ilovecatnip.blogspot.com/2010/06/guess-what-we-found-today-in-backyard.html
That's a pretty flower. I saw the mole.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I love allium. I grow the hops ornamentally, but got it from someone who does home brew. I also get spent grain (barley) for the compost bin from him. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your kitty on your profile photo looks like my Seymore! ( here is a search from my blog where I mention my Seymore so you can see him : http://bggarden.com/blog/?s=seymore )
ReplyDeleteThat bulb ( is it alum?) blooming indoors is really cool. I never thought of putting that one in a container.
Can't wait to stop by soon to see what you share during the summer.
Happy Gardening!
I always enjoy fried zucchini in the beginning of the season....yum
ReplyDeleteI think that flower is agapanthus. They grow like weeds here in Australia and have to be contained in some areas, but there are really pretty.. I have them in my garden and they are incredibly drought tolerant.
