A Forgotten Photo

We have woods adjacent to our property. In the woods and along the border we see a lot of wild flowers growing. This allium was growing right on the border, encroaching on our property line. It was so pretty that I had to clip it and bring it indoors. I took this photo last month, and completely forgotten about it.
Yesterday when my husband was outside near the garden, he found a mole running around the grass. He scooped it up and released him out into the woods. Pictures of the mole are on my other blog. http://ilovecatnip.blogspot.com/2010/06/guess-what-we-found-today-in-backyard.html

  2. Thanks for visiting my blog. I love allium. I grow the hops ornamentally, but got it from someone who does home brew. I also get spent grain (barley) for the compost bin from him. :)

  3. I love your blog and your kitty on your profile photo looks like my Seymore! ( here is a search from my blog where I mention my Seymore so you can see him : http://bggarden.com/blog/?s=seymore )

That bulb ( is it alum?) blooming indoors is really cool. I never thought of putting that one in a container.

Can't wait to stop by soon to see what you share during the summer.

    Happy Gardening!

  5. I think that flower is agapanthus. They grow like weeds here in Australia and have to be contained in some areas, but there are really pretty.. I have them in my garden and they are incredibly drought tolerant.
