Springtime in New York City

Spring in New York City is something special. The blooming trees, the spring bulbs, all the blooms put on a show. This street in my neighborhood is just gorgeous with the flowers starting to bloom over the road. So pretty.

But the cherry blossoms are the star, it's just spectacular how beautiful these blooms were at the park. It just took my breath away, wow.

I take a walk through the park near us almost everyday, and it always have some surprises. Today I spotted these pretty bleeding hearts. I love this plant. The foilage is a little boring, but then it has these incredible flowers. Just stunning. Spring is quite easily my favorite season. I just wish the blooms lasted longer!

Springtime Display

One of my favorite things of all time is Springtime in New York City. A few blocks from my apartment building, this gorgeous display of spring flowers was in bloom. Isn't it spectacular? Seeing this pop of color really makes you feel like the grey winter is finally behind us. Ah, Spring! You are definitely my favorite season!

Bright Yellow Beauties

Spring is dragging it's feet to get here. The weather was 60 degrees the other day then whammo, 25F and freezing again! What the deuce? To cheer myself up I bought some daffodils, which is one of my favorites.
It instantly brings a smile to my face. These stems bloomed in one day! Yeah, it might be 40 degrees outside, but with bright yellow beauties like these... who cares!

The best $7.50 I ever spent!

I just realized that I haven't been posting anything about our flowers lately. Here's our lovely hot pink hibiscus in our lime green container pot. Isn't it pretty? I bought this plant at Home Depot because I had a buy one get one coupon offer. So I bought one for my mom, her's is coral colored and the hot pink one for myself! I got 2 plants for $15! Talk about score! Ever since I brought this baby home, it has constantly bloomed every week! The flowers are just gorgeous. The only thing I wish was that the blooms lasted more than one day! But since they bloom so often, I almost don't mind. Well, almost!
