This weekend, I took my mother-in-law to my favorite store. The Christmas Tree Shop. LOL. Okay, it's not my favorite store, but it's like a budget gardener's dream! You have to weed through the tchotkes to find the gems. Like this. The little teacup planter is about 4 inches, and just the cutest. And at $1.99, it went into my shopping cart.
I also picked up these ceramic planters. The one in the foreground is about 6 inches and the one in the back is 8 inches. And get this, $3.99 and $5.99. Yeah, hello!
The best part was this. I stopped cold in my tracks, because I was mesmerized. Last year, I wore my boots to death. And ever since, I've been on the lookout for a new pair. Oh my, how do I pick just one? Well, it turns out, there were only a few in my size. I guess 7 is a very popular women's size. That helped me narrow down the choices.
Thank goodness this pair came in a size 7. Hooray, I have new garden boots! Cute aren't they? And at $14.99, perfect for my budget! I ended up buying some other stuff, non-garden related. This store is so evil on my wallet! Haha
Those are very cute indeed. I have seen many that I wanted but my feet are wide and most of the good looking boots are not..Enjoy, your feet will be happy to garden in those.
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds! I always stop in there and the Ocean State Job Lot when I'm back east.
ReplyDeleteI *love* Christmas Tree Shops especially for gardening stuff. I have purchased so many gloves, ceramic pots, seeds, and tools from there. Cute gardening boots!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those boots! If Mr. Granny doesn't get out in the back yard with a shovel, I'm going to need some high top boots to wade through the dog poop! I bought three planters yesterday, so I'll blog about them when I get them into their spots, and when I can afford the potting soil it's going to take to fill them. They're HUGE!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are freakin' adorable! I am so jealous of the deals you get! LOVE those ceramic planters too. I ordered some boots from target.com and they were too big. I am an 8.5 and they only had full sizes (8 and 9) so I thought I'd go bigger. I now have to send them back and get an 8! grr! Why must I be in between sizes? lol.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, loved the post :)
Great boots and pots! I miss the Christmas Tree Shop!
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago I bought Mrs IG some |Laura Ashley boots, at a mere £45! She won't wear them in case they get dirty!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish we have Christmas Tree Shop here in down under. Your boots so cute. I need to find an excuse to have a pair of em.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing these boots and kinda thinking about getting some.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty stuff.

ReplyDeleteI love those boots and the planters!!!
ReplyDeleteI was in a Christmas Tree Shoppe once when I was visiting Salem, MA. I have an aunt that lives in NY and she always talks about this store! I wish we had one in OH!
I love a good bargain! And you picked out some great stuff for a great price. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the store I go into intending to spend $1.99 and end up spending $50!! But they DO have great gardening stuff - they carry those big packets of italian seeds and tools are very reasonable, too.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah -- cute boots!!
