I am so beyond amazed with this hardneck garlic that we planted. Just look at these tall gorgeous beauties. Garlic is by far the easiest thing to grow. I can't wait until it is ready to harvest and cure. When do you harvest your garlic?

sigh... I think we have unusual chipmunks here. The only time I tried to plant garlic, we had ONE survive. Something *insert chipmunks here* ATE almost all of them. Chipmunks are cute but I think it's about time for war.

ReplyDeletePurty garlic! I hope you're right and that garlic is the easiest thing to grow! LOL! I hope mine makes it! Yours looks so healthy!
ReplyDeleteI'm harvesting it now--as weeds in every portion of my garden, LOL. You're right in that it's so easy to grow. I love how nice yours looks all lined up like stately soldiers. Great job.
ReplyDeleteMine should be out within a month, I HOPE! I really need the space back :)
ReplyDeleteI harvest when the bottom two sets of leaves have turned brown. Usually mid to late July for me.
ReplyDeleteWow! They look fantastic! How great that you are growing your own! You have enough to make braids once they dry. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's all I can do to resist digging one of mine up to see how far along they are.
ReplyDeleteGarlic RULES!
